With the construction industry in the GCC described by some commentators as being at a tipping point, with enhanced concerns relating to delayed payments and increased disputes, Addleshaw Goddard has teamed up with HKA to deliver a debate called “ENGINEERING THE DISPUTE”, focusing on the role of the Engineer in GCC construction projects.

The session will analyse the key roles and responsibilities of the Engineer and the extent to which the competing demands on the Engineer may contribute to or cause disputes in the regional construction industry.

HKA's Executive Vice President, Ben Highfield will put the case for the Engineer and Addleshaw Goddard's Construction Partner, Bevan Farmer will be discussing whether the Engineer is the root cause of disputes and project failures.

Addleshaw Goddard's Head of International Construction, Andrew Greaves, will chair the debate.
