The challenges of building the World’s tallest building – a presentation on some of the key aspects of the design and construction of the 1,007m high Kingdom Tower in Jeddah. The presentation will provide an explanation of the design of the project, a short history of the construction progress so far and highlight the technical and logistic challenges and risks in construction.
About the Speaker:
Andrew has worked with Mace International for 16 years and is currently the Project Director for the Kingdom Tower. Prior to this appointment Andrew held the position of the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa.. During his 13 years in the Middle East Andrew has been involved in the management of a number of the regions’ most complex and iconic projects as well as acting as the country manager for Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Mace Andrew worked in the Far East for four years, acting as the lead design manager for the Japanese consortium constructing Kuala Lumpur International Airport and for Bovis in London as a commercial and project manager, involved in the delivery of a number of London’s major aviation, commercial and arts projects.
